Recently, I’ve been working on upping my LinkedIn game. I asked who I should be following and got a MASSIVE list. Here are 15 of my picks.

I recently posted a poll on my LinkedIn profile asking my followers if they had anyone they loved following on LinkedIn.

The post BLEW UP. 

As of this writing, that post currently has close to 1,000 votes, over 170 comments, and over 400 recommendations of new people to follow.

There were SOO MANY recommendations it’s almost hard to recap everyone to follow… The idea of this post is to get you started with a few of the standouts.

Adam Grant

Why they are worth a follow:

Adam Grant is a psychologist, podcast host, and author of some incredible books including Give and Take: Why Helping Others Drives Our Success.

He is currently a professor at the University of Penn in organizational psychology. 

I love his content because he breaks all the norms and commonly-held beliefs on HOW we work. You’ll love his stuff if you want to be a better leader or you're interested in building a better culture at your startup.

Susan Etinger

Why they are worth a follow:

Susan Etinger is a globally recognized expert in digital strategy, artificial intelligence, technology ethics, and data.  

One of my favorite things about her page is her consistent live interviews and discussions with other experts, offering expansive knowledge and experience in the industry.

If you’re in the tech industry, this is a follow you won’t want to skip. Her insight into building resilient organizations, fostering innovation, technology integration, and the future of work is invaluable.

Mark A Smith

Why they are worth a follow:

Mark is the CRO at Webware.io, a writer, public speaker, and advisor to startups. 

Mark shares some GEMS if you are building a SaaS company — he talks about hiring, recruiting, building a culture, and growing sales. Personally, I love his posts about the hiring process and recruiting.

James Laurain

Why they are worth a follow:

James is a tech writer — and I love his bio: “I can explain high-tech to my mom.”

Genius. 

First of all, James has some of the catchiest posts I’ve seen — it’s hard to scroll by one without clicking “See More.”

Secondly, you’ll love seeing HOW he talks about complicated topics. His posts are a masterclass for any founder looking to talk about what they do and their technology in a conversational tone that will make customers take notice.

Sarena Tseng

By day, Sarena is a University Recruiter at Cox Communications, by night she’s a LinkedIn content creation guru.

Sarena’s here to help you level up your LinkedIn brand whether you’re just starting out or have been in the game for a while.  Her content is engaging, relatable, and easy to understand. 

She’s a must-follow if you’re looking to learn how to create content for LinkedIn that will increase engagement, followers, networking effectiveness, and job search success.

Jonathan Tesser

Jonathan describes himself as a “Career Whisperer for Young Professionals.”

Meaning? 

He helps young people break down their passions and find direction in their careers. If you’re looking to get a job in tech, or change the direction of your career, you’ll love Jonathan’s posts.

Martin Barnes

Martin helps founders feel more comfortable pitching their ideas and startup. 

I love how Martin makes pitching and presenting look easy. His posts share really simple ideas about making your script tighter, cleaning up your big idea, and refining your elevator pitch. 

His content is a must if you are raising money or selling your tech service to new customers.

Debora Prossomariti

Why they are worth a follow: 

Deborah is a digital marketing strategist with a background in business administration and corporate finance as well as an international MSc degree in management (majoring in marketing).

Currently, she manages a portfolio of +150 accounts as a Marketing Expert at Facebook.

With all her qualifications, technical skills, and experience, she’s constantly hitting home runs with her LinkedIn content. Her posts break down relationship management, communication and success into simple terms.

Andreas Jonsson

If you post on LinkedIn, you’re going to want to follow Andreas Jonsson.  He is the CEO/Cofounder at Shield, the leading analytics platform for LinkedIn.

He puts out great content on how to build your brand, produce quality content, up your followers and engagement, and use LinkedIn to generate your own success.

Dan Price

Why they are worth a follow:

Dan Price is the Founder and CEO of Gravity Payments. Reviewers have described him as an influential leader, role model, practical visionary, and a model for what all CEO’s should be like.

If you’re not sold yet, it’s important to note that Dan made the decision to give up millions of his own compensation so that everyone at Gravity Payments could make a living wage. 

His content will inspire you to be decisive, solve problems, lead initiatives, and better the world.

Tim O’Reilly

Gary Vaynerchuk

He’s got a keen ability to recognize trends and patterns early to help others understand how these shifts impact markets and consumer behavior.

I love his page because his posts are so engaging with a variety of videos, memes, and personal stories and experiences. Gary’s content will keep you up to date on what’s next in culture, relevance and the internet.

Jeff Erickson

Jeff is well versed in the realm of raising money. He currently runs partnerships at Carta.com which helps companies and investors manage their cap tables, valuations, and equity plans. 

We were lucky enough to record an interview of Jeff Erickson on Episode 20 of our How To Build An App podcast where he basically gave a masterclass on getting investors interested in your company, and approaching investors the right way. 

If you are planning on raising money anytime in the near future, you’ll love how informational and informative Jeff’s posts are.

Scott Paul
